Accessibility Statement
Effective October 2, 2026. Written for parents, in plain language.
Our commitment
We want every family, including parents and children with disabilities, to be able to use Reading Adventure Worlds. We use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA as our working goal for this website. We have not had an independent accessibility audit and don’t claim full conformance, but we keep improving.
What we’ve built in so far
- A “Skip to content” link and a logical heading structure on our pages.
- Buttons, menus and forms that work with a keyboard, with visible focus outlines.
- Text descriptions for meaningful images, including written steps alongside every Step Up screenshot.
- Respect for your device’s “reduce motion” setting, plus a button to pause the moving scenery on the home page.
- A show/hide option on password fields, and Andika, a typeface designed for beginning readers.
Known limitations
- Some animated previews on the home page and some reading games rely on sight, sound and touch, and may be harder to use with a screen reader. The same information about how lessons work is in the text around the previews.
- The Step Up portal screenshots and payment pages come from other companies’ websites, which we don’t control.
