Privacy policy

Reading Adventure Worlds (“we,” “us”) is operated by Crown Oak Learning LLC, a Florida company based in Cape Coral, Florida. We make a reading program for young children that a parent or other grown-up uses together with the child. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.

The short version

• The account belongs to the parent. Children don’t need an email address or a password.
• We never show ads, never use advertising trackers, and never sell or rent anyone’s personal information.
• We only collect what we need to run the lessons and save your child’s progress.
• You can see or delete your family’s information any time by emailing us.

What we collect from parents

• Account details: your name and email address, and a password or sign-in method.
• Payment details: handled by our payment processor. We don’t store full card numbers on our systems.
• Messages: anything you send us when you contact support.

What we store about children

A parent creates each child’s profile. For each profile we store a first name or nickname the parent chooses, a starting level, and learning progress (for example, which lessons are finished and how the grown-up marked each practice). We don’t ask for a child’s full name, birthday, photo, address, or school.

Any optional microphone feature is off by default and must be turned on by a parent. Before such a feature is enabled, the app explains exactly how any audio is handled.

Children’s privacy (COPPA)

Reading Adventure Worlds is used by children under 13, so we follow the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). Accounts are created and managed by parents. We don’t knowingly collect personal information directly from children, and we use children’s learning data only to provide the lessons and show progress to their grown-up. Parents may review, correct, or delete their child’s information, or stop further collection, at any time by contacting us.

How we use information

• To run the lessons, save progress, and sync it across your family’s devices.
• To process payments and send receipts, including itemized receipts for scholarship records.
• To answer your questions and send important account notices.
• To improve lessons using overall usage patterns that don’t identify any child.

Who we share information with

We share information only with service providers who help us run Reading Adventure Worlds (like hosting and payment processing), under contracts that limit their use of it, or when the law requires it. We never sell personal information and never share it for advertising.

Cookies and this website

We use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in and the site working. We don’t use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. This website loads its fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google’s servers to download them.

How long we keep information

We keep your family’s information while your account is active. If you close your account, we delete personal information within 30 days, except records we must keep by law, such as payment records.

Security

We use encryption in transit, access controls, and careful data minimization to protect your family’s information. No system is perfect, but we work hard to keep what we store small and safe.

Changes

If we make important changes to this policy, we’ll update the date above and let account holders know by email before the changes take effect.
